FRIENDS is an American national organization created to provide a network of love and support for children and teenagers who stutter, their families, and the professionals who work with them.

Founded in 1997, Friends was created to provide a network of support solely for young people who stutter, their families and the professionals who work with them.

The iPhone and Stuttering Treatment

Hollins Communications Research Institute (HCRI), an American Institution, has developed an application for the iPhone to help people who stutter with their fluency skills.

Rolled out in February of 2009, It is meant to be used in conjunction with clinical therapy sessions. The handset is capable of having a voice monitoring system programmed into it, and can even evaluate speech behaviour and give fluency measurements.
