On Saturday, February 13 from 3 to 5 p.m. EST (12 to 2 p.m. PST), the Canadian Stuttering Association invited three couples at different stages of relationship to share their journeys of love and partnership at the February Relationship Panel, “Let’s Talk About Love”!
Did you miss out on this event? No worries, you can still access the recordings from the event by Wednesday, April 7th at 11:59 p.m. EST For the cost of $10 at the registration site. If you like the work that we are doing at the CSA, please consider making a donation. A donation of $20 and higher will be eligible for a tax receipt!
We heard from...
- Alexandra D’Agostino and Zachary Seguin who have been dating for over one year. They shared their story on how a decade of friendship grew into something more after they spent some time apart.
- Kim and David Block who both stutter and have been married for 18 years. They discussed how the CSA first brought the two of them together.
- Don and Zenia Morrier who have been married for 54 years. Don first met Zenia on a blind date on New Year’s Eve.
Each couples’ journey through love differed greatly. However, what did not differ was the impact that stuttering had between each couple. Stuttering served to strengthen their love and their relationship.
It was truly an afternoon filled with love and excitement. Attendees got some tips from panelists on how to talk about stuttering during dating, how they coped with the possibility of giving birth to a child who stutters, and more!
Thank you to our panelists for sharing your insights and stories and everyone who attended this event! Your questions and participation made it a successful event.
We would like to congratulate the winner of our $100 gift card, Oliver Long, and extend our appreciation to Oliver for donating his winnings to the CSA. Thank you!
