Members of the Canadian Stuttering Association met up on October 22 to see the awe-inspiring CN Tower in Toronto lit up in sea foam green in honour of International Stuttering Awareness Day (ISAD)! It was amazing to see our city landmarks commemorating this day. Thank-you Toronto!

The Toronto City Hall buildings were also lit up to mark the day by being lit up in green. The International Stuttering Association (ISA) is an advocacy and research entity that promotes awareness and understanding of stuttering around the world. International Stuttering Awareness Day centres around an online conference sponsored by the ISA, where research papers addressing a wide range of topics related to stuttering are submitted and discussed online. This year the conference was entitled "Speak your mind" and ran from October 1 to October 22nd. You can read the papers at the web site.

This event followed our conference that took place on Saturday October 20. Everyone who attended made it a special occasion, and based on the positive feedback we received another conference will be planned for next year. You can see photos of the event (and others) on our Flickr site
