Stuttering Treatment in Ottawa

Last year in 2015, the Ottawa Hospital closed the long-running Stuttering Treatment Clinic, along with other out-patient clinics, due to budgetary concerns. Fortunately, treatment for stuttering is still available.

The University of Ottawa School of Rehabilitation Sciences has partnered with the University of Ottawa Health Services (UOHS), and now runs the stuttering treatment clinic for the Ottawa region.

SLP Caroline Bredeson runs the intensive, group treatment clinics. She also has a new private practice clinic, where she assesses potential clients for the intensive program, as well as sees adults and adolescents for individual stuttering treatment. That is run out of the Perley-Rideau Veterans' Health Centre, where UOHS has clinic space.

You can contact Caroline at her email bredeson.caroline@gmail.com, and the University of Ottawa Health Services at physioadmin@perleyrideauphysio.com or by phone at 613-526-7175.
