The Portland State University Stuttering Lab is offering a "Chat Retreat" for adults who stutter. The mission of the retreat is to inspire confidence and community among people who stutter. It will take place August 30 - September 2 (Labour Day Weekend) in the beautiful setting of coastal Oregon, USA.
The event will be facilitated by Oregon-based SLPs who specialize in fluency disorders and SLP graduate student clinicians from Portland State University. From the website: "It’s a place where adults who stutter can learn to be a powerful voice in their community to inspire positive change. We at CHAT Retreat believe through personal recognition of one’s unique attributes, adults who stutter can build the necessary self-confidence to conquer any speaking situation." The PSU Stuttering Lab is a team of speech-language pathologists who investigates theoretical and practical topics related to stuttering across the lifespan." See the website for more information.
