The CSA is actively following the news about the coronavirus (COVID-19). We know that many people are concerned about COVID-19, also known as the novel coronavirus, and that globally the outbreak is evolving quickly.

Frontiers for Young Minds is a website that makes science discoveries available and appealing to younger audiences. Children work with mentors to curate and write articles about science topics.

Thanks to everyond who attended our documentary screening, it was a great success!

As we all embark on an exciting and promising new year, I think it is important to review the CSA successes of 2019 which have served to pave a smooth path for the upcoming year.

On November 2, I had the pleasure of attending the very first conference of the Newfoundland and Labrador Stuttering Association (NLSA), in Mount Pearl, near the city of St-John’s, Newfoundland.

The 12th Annual Oxford Dysfluency Conference will take place September 23-26, 2020. The 12th Oxford Dysfluency Conference (ODC), under the theme ‘Challenge and Change’, is to be held at St Catherine’s College Oxford.

On Saturday December 7th, The Interprofessional Clinic at Perley-Rideau is offering a Speech-refresher day for youth 10-16 years old who stutter.

Our annual CSA conference last month was a huge success! We had record-breaking attendance, including many families, speech-language pathologists and students, and of course - people who stutter of all ages.

Ella and Wynn, who live in Vancouver, BC, celebrated International Stuttering Awareness Day on October 22nd. They watched a video and talked with their class about stuttering and how to be a good friend/ally to people who stutter.
