Warm Up to Debate!

Have you always wanted to debate but thought you couldn’t or were afraid of how the pressure would affect your speech? Want to test your wings? This workshop provides an opportunity for you to argue a point in a safe and supportive environment. Turns will be short, action-packed, and fun! Will you be pro or con?...

Outcomes

Participants will get to:

  • take pleasure in arguing a point of view they may agree or disagree with in a supportive setting with friendly competition.
  • think quickly on their feet, focusing on persuasive points instead of on stuttering.
  • observe and learn from others arguing their points and using different styles.
  • practice active listening; and
  • let go and have fun!

Rawan Aldaqes
