Understanding the Human Rights Process

Persons Who Stutter (PWS) often face discrimination in employment. This workshop provides a general overview of the human rights complaint process: presenting a complaint, mediation, and adjudication or settlement. Participants will also learn about what types of remedies can be ordered by human rights adjudicators, and best practices to document evidence of discriminatory treatment in the workplace.

Outcomes

Participants will gain an understanding of the human rights process and guidance on how to seek redress for discrimination in the workplace through their respective human rights regimes. Participants will also learn about the scope of remedies that human rights adjudicators can craft.
