Stuttering and Comedy: Normalizing Our Stuttering Through Humour

They say "laughter is the best medicine."

This workshop will explore how we can use humour as a way to disclose and talk about our stuttering. Presenter Samuel Dunsiger will discuss how he has used stand-up comedy to normalize living with a stutter. Participants will also learn how they can write their own jokes about stuttering.

About the presenters

Samuel Dunsiger

Samuel Dunsiger is a career coach, writer/storyteller and amateurish stand-up comedian who stutters. He uses comedy and writing to normalize living with a stutter. His words have appeared in the Toronto Star, Broad Street Review and more. He recently migrated from Ottawa to Montreal. He enjoys putting IKEA furniture together.
