Explore improv as a stutterer! It’s like theatre, but way more chill—no pressure to say a line at the exact right time. Improv is about making up scenes on the spot and advancing them based on whatever comes into your head. It’s fueled by creativity, not speed. Through improv, it becomes clear that no one needs to speak perfectly.
Outcomes
- Participants feel encouraged to speak with a supportive environment of others who also stutter or are in the community.
- Participants feel emboldened to speak when they have an idea, and that it doesn't have to come out perfectly, be perfectly worded, and there is no rush to "get it out", as it is a closed environment where we are building a scene together, with no rush.
