A Guide to Accommodations in Post-Secondary Education

This workshop is a guide for applying for accommodations both during the admissions process and once enrolled as a student in post-secondary education. It will cover key steps, strategies, and rights for people who stutter. This session is valuable for current or incoming post-secondary students, as well as allies (e.g., speech-language pathologists, parents) who wish to support someone who stutters.

Outcomes

Participants will leave with a better understanding of the accommodations process in post-secondary institutions. This empowers people who stutter to advocate for themselves and assert their right to equal access through appropriate accommodations.
