Achieving Personal Connection with Listeners: An Introduction

Do you pay attention to the connection between you and your listeners when public-speaking, or in conversation? Do you present your authentic self? This experiential session will introduce Relational Presence, a practice central to the Speaking Circles method for breaking down social and performance anxiety in public speaking. The session is limited to six PWS to allow for sufficient practice.

Outcomes

Participants can expect to:

  • feel themselves relax as they are freed from the expectations of having to speak and as they settle into personal connection with audience members through eye gaze.
  • be fully accepted, without judgment, advice or feedback; and
  • leave the session primed to achieve personal connection with future listeners.
