The 10th ISA World Congress for People who Stutter will take place in the Netherlands in 2013, from June 10th until June 13th.

The Netherlands stuttering association Demosthenes has put much effort into setting up a good program, selecting internationally well-known keynote speakers and a location which is perfect for this event. This will be a World congress for people who  stutter, by people who stutter and people involved in stuttering. Registration for this congress is now open, and information is  accessible through the website. Register before 1 January 2013 and get the early-bird price!

During the congress there will be the following keynote speakers:

  • Anita Blom (Sweden)
  • Marie-Christine Franken (Netherlands)
  • Shinji Ito (Japan)
  • David Mitchell (Ireland)
  • Katherine Preston (USA)
  • David Shapiro (USA)
  • Michael O'Shea (Ireland)

Next to these keynotes, there will be many workshops and presentations performed by participants. Tuesday will be organised by David Shapiro, focussed on speech language pathologists. This 'therapist' day is organised next to the normal congress program, but  participants of the congress are welcome to participate. Participants are requested to submit abstracts for workshops, speeches or performances. On the website there are guidelines for abstract submission.  Besides the congress, there will be a social event on Tuesday afternoon  and a gala dinner on Wednesday-evening.
