Alliance Films and Canadian Motion Picture Exhibitors have donated part of the proceeds of the King's Speech to Japanese relief efforts. Profits from showings of the movie on March 19 at selected cinemas were sent to the Canadian Red Cross's Japan Earthquake Asia Pacific Tsunami Appeal.
