Bio

My name is Abhi and I’ve had a stutter my whole life, pretty much since I first learned to speak. Having grown up in a small town in India where awareness about speech disorders was virtually nonexistent, I’m determined to create spaces where people who stutter can express themselves without judgement and connect with others like them. That is why I joined the CSA. Starting as an attendee at “Let’s Talk” workshops and supporting the fundraising efforts, I’ve since graduated to oversee marketing and communications. I’m excited to be able to amplify the voices of CSA members and strengthen our role as the leading advocate for people who stutter in Canada

I’m currently a philanthropy coordinator at St. Michael’s Hospital Foundation, where I raise money for biomedical research and community health initiatives. Before that, I was a graduate student and researcher in moral philosophy at Simon Fraser University. Outside work, you might find me running, playing volleyball, or discovering new gelato spots in Toronto.
