What Would You Ask? A Young Adults Panel for Parents

Imagine all of those unasked challenging stuttering questions swimming in your brain. You will be able to ask questions you might be afraid to ask your own children from a panel of hand picked, well spoken young adults who are open. Parents, this is your chance to gain a new perspective to deepen your relationship with your child/adult who stutters!

About the presenters

Annie Hernandez

Annie Hernandez graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida, United States in 2023 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. She worked as a Research Assistant at the Herbert Wertheim UF Scripps Institute for Biomedical Innovation and Technology for 2.5 years, leaving in January 2026 to pursue her Master of Science in Biotechnology at the University if South Florida. Stuttering since early childhood, she became more involved in the stuttering community in 2024 as a keynote speaker at several international conferences for people who stutter and as a Scientific Advisor of the Stuttering Treatment and Research Society. When she isn’t conducting her independent research project on genetic and protein variants involved in stuttering, Annie greatly enjoys singing and songwriting, kayaking, and paddleboarding with her family and friends. She finds great purpose in combining her heart for helping people who stutter and her passion for biomedical science to better the lives of stutterers everywhere.

David Liu

David is a person who stutters. He recently graduated from Western University in London, Ontario and is currently a medical student at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. 

Matt Mollo

Matt Mollo is a lifelong stutterer and has been involved in the stuttering community since 2022. He graduated from Durham College with a Sport Management Diploma. He has always been a passionate sports fan, both watching and playing. Matt has become very passionate about educating others on stuttering and advocating, challenging stigmas surrounding stuttering. He also enjoys playing video games and has recently started streaming on Twitch, a platform where others can watch you play games and chat with your viewers.
