If you are a speech clinician looking for fun, creative, and effective ways to help clients “open up” and engage as they confront their stutter, this session is for you. Join us as we share and explore ways in which Daniele Rossi’s book Stuttering is Cool: A Guide to Stuttering in a Fast-Talking World can be used in speech therapy with school-age children, adolescents, adults, and parents on their paths to discovery, understanding, acceptance, empowerment, and advocacy. The book, which features a relatable, resilient fox that stutters, is also suited to self-therapy and is an invaluable resource for clinicians and student clinicians who seek to better understand the personal lived experience of stuttering.
