How Self-Confidence, Self-Acceptance, and a Positive Mindset Have Helped Me to Speak with More Confidence

Berenice Mengo

Sunday 1:00PM - 2:00PM EDT

Berenice spent years being profoundly unhappy, constantly frustrated and angry with herself, feeling like a prisoner of her stuttering. Her life was dictated by fear. After years of trying to understand what she was missing, including attempts at speech therapy, she still was affected by her dysfluency. When someone told her that “it’s okay to stutter”, it changed her life. How could it be okay to stutter? Upon adopting that attitude, the outcome was surprising…

What to expect

It is possible to speak with confidence even if we stutter. Stuttering and fear shouldn’t have control over our lives, we do and we are more than our condition. Stuttering might be part of us but it does not define us. Let’s put stuttering in the backseat, as we take the front seat and control the wheel of our lives.
