Young Adults Roundtable

Alexandra D'Agostino

Friday 6:00PM - 7:00PM EST

Advocacy Young Adults

Are you in your twenties or thirties? Do you want to make new friends around your age who are in the same place in life, and who just also happen to stutter? Come and have a chat with us! Through various activities and discussions, discover the Young Adults population of the CSA! This workshop will provide a relaxed and fun atmosphere to get to know each other before the conference officially kicks off over the weekend, and will remind attendees that no matter what they are going through, or where they are in life, YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

What to expect

Attendees will ascertain a sense of togetherness and support by sharing experiences and getting to know other people around their age who also stutter through various activities provided in the workshop (such as polls, Kahoot!, and other online get to know each other games). This workshop will hopefully run the first night of the conference so that attendees of around the same age will be given the chance to meet other people in their age group and will feel better about attending further workshops if they see a friendly face in the mix.

About the presenter

Alexandra D’Agostino lives in Ottawa, ON, is 28, and a Registered Nurse. She has stuttered since she was seven, and is on the CSA’s Board of Directors as their Family and Youth Programming Coordinator. She has been involved with the CSA since 2014, and with the National Stuttering Association since 2011 volunteering with different programs and running workshops. Both stuttering associations have made such a big difference in her life, and with her stutter, and she is looking forward to being able to continue to give back to the CSA and NSA.
